Can you believe it? We’re halfway to Halloween already! Here at Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground, we LOVE Halloween! It’s one of our favorite times of the year. It’s exciting to have Disneyland Resort across the street with its frightfully fun Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. And we’re always scared silly in anticipation of Knott’s Scary Farm in nearby Buena Park. However, we also enjoy homespun Halloween fun right here in our very own backyard.

Within the Anaheim Resort District, along Harbor Boulevard, we love to participate in the annual “Harbor Walk Hotels Present a Halloween Trick or Treat,” presented again this year on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31, from 3 pm to 8 pm. It’s only for hotel guests who are staying at one of the designated hotels between Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and the Castle Inn and Suites.

As you can see from the photos below, our staff is very reluctant to be photographed or get into the spirit of Halloween . . .

Another hometown Halloween event we can’t wait for again is the annual Anaheim Fall Festival and Halloween Parade. This year’s event is very special because it represents two back-to-back major milestones, a sort of a Halloween event bi-centennial: The Anaheim Fall Festival celebrates its 100th anniversary this year (1923 – 2023), and the Anaheim Halloween Parade celebrates its 100th anniversary next year (1924 – 2024).

The Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground is a proud sponsor of the festival and parade, typically sponsoring the “Rocket Witch” float, which enjoys a rich history with the parade.

We also love this charming small-town feeling festival and parade for its creativity and the many characters you might encounter during the celebrations. We’re so excited to be halfway to Halloween! We look forward to seeing you this October!
