No, there’s nothing wrong with your television set, so don’t try to adjust it!

Donald Ballard, the author of Disneyland® Hotel: The Early Years 1954-1988 was gracious enough to share some images, like the one above, from the vintage 16mm film footage of the Disneyland Hotel that he recently acquired and converted to DVD. He posted these images in a thread on MiceChat yesterday, and after following a link through to his site, I sort of fell into a vortex of Disneyana!

The Magical Hotel provides pictures of brochures, maps, historical and promotional photos, postcards and other rare treats that give us a glimpse of the Disneyland Hotel as it was in the beginning. I really enjoyed looking at the maps and trying to figure out what parts of Downtown Disney are there now- especially the Monorail!

If you don’t quite get your fix there, you can also stop by his blog for trivia, stories, postcards, brochures, images and a whole lot more!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go out for a little stroll!

See you in the Parks!
